So opened The National Post‘s September 10, 2013, article on the Canadian province of Quebec’s recent (and for some, rather controversial) Charter of Quebec Values, along with the accompanying picture of the Premiere, Pauline Marois, joined by Bernard Drainville, the Minister Responsible for Democratic Institutions and Active Citizenship.
What I wonder is if accepting a government report from an elected member of Quebec’s National Assembly, at a staged photo op, constitutes “receiving a state service”? If so, then should the Premier’s face be uncovered? Or should she at least be using a less “overt and conspicuous” color of eye shadow?
I’m just askin’.
It’s back int he news again…
