Saturday:

Craig Martin will be presiding at the NAASR Presidential Panel: On Teaching Religion (P23-203) on Saturday, 1:00 – 3:30 pm at the Marriott Inner Harbor (University Ballroom 3-4).

Combining research, writing, and a several-day-long “Star Trek: The Next Generation” marathons, Merinda Simmons will be conducting an experiment of delivering buttons through transporter beam from Tuscaloosa to somewhere in the Hyatt Regency Baltimore Lobby, sometime Saturday between 4:00 – 6:00 pm. (Note: avoid the lobby if you’re not confident in the accuracy of first generation transporter technology.)

Sunday:

Leslie Dorrough Smith will be presiding over “Developing Your Inner Snark” on Sunday, 1:00 – 3:30 pm, somewhere in the Hilton Baltimore Lobby Bar. You’ll also recognize her as the one who is knitting between — if not all throughout — every session that she attends.

Vaia Touna will be passing out buttons at the Kitchen Bar in Thessaloniki, Greece, around 5:00 – 7:00 pm (EET). It’s first come, first serve, so don’t be late! And be sure to get a frappé while you’re there! (You get two buttons if you buy her one.)

Monday:

Monica Miller and Steven Ramey will be presenting at the American Academy of Religion Panel, “Discussing the ‘Nones’: What They Say about the Category of Religion and American Society” (A25-328), which is part of the Religion and Popular Culture Group in the AAR, on Monday 4:00 – 6:00 pm in Convention Center 322.

Russell McCutcheon will be presenting at the Society of Biblical Literature Panel, “What Does It Mean to ‘Explain’ Earliest Christianity?” (S25-330) on Monday, November 25, 4:00 – 6:30 pm at the Convention Center 334. His paper is entitled “Why Do You Seek the Living Among the Dead? (Luke 24:5)”, and the panel is part of the Redescribing Early Christianity group in the SBL.

If none of these times or locations work, then there’s a really
good chance that you can find one of us wandering
around the book display or hanging out
at some of the hotel bars…

Consider yourself told.
